Ingredients
  1. 1 stick butter, softened
  2. 1 1/2 cups sugar
  3. 2 eggs
  4. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  5. 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  6. 1 1/4 cups flour
  7. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  8. 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
  9. 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  10. 2 cups pretzels, crushed fine
  11. 6 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 8X8 inch baking dish with pam. Place the pretzels in a ziplock bag and using a rolling pin or mallet, crush until fine. In a medium bowl, combine the pretzel pieces with the melted butter until moistened. Transfer to the baking dish in an even layer. In a large bowl beat together the butter and sugar until fluffy, 3 minutes. Add eggs one at a time and then the vanilla. In a medium bowl, combine the cocoa, flower and salt until combined. Add the dry ingredients to the wet, 1/2 at a time, beating to combine. Transfer to the top of the pretzel mixture, smoothing with a spatula in an even layer and bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, 25-30 minutes. When the brownies have 5 minutes left baking, melt the peanut butter in a medium bowl until melted, 30 seconds at a time. Once melted, stir in the powdered sugar and mix until combined. Spread evenly over the baked brownies and refrigerate until set, 2 hours. Cut into bars and enjoy!
