Ingredients
  1. 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  2. 12 ounces white chocolate chips
  3. 8 candy canes
Instructions
  1. Cover a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Remove the candy canes from their wrappers and place in a large ziplock bag. Using a mallet or the bottom of a glass, mash the candy canes until broken into small pieces. In a small bowl over a pot of simmering water melt the semisweet chocolate chips. When smooth, pour onto the cookie sheet and spread into a thin layer. Place sheet in the freezer and freeze until hard, 30 minutes. Next melt the white chocolate the same way, adding a teaspoon or so of vegetable oil. White chocolate tends to need the oil in order to become smooth. Mix in 2/3 of the candy cane pieces. Spread the white chocolate over the hardened chocolate layer and spread into an even layer. Sprinkle the remaining 1/3 candy cane pieces on top, and using a spoon, press to make sure the pieces stick. Place sheet in freezer and freeze until hard, around 2 hours. Once bark is completely hard, break into pieces and eat!
