Ingredients
  1. 1 1/2 cups broken pretzel pieces
  2. 1 1/4 cups flour
  3. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  4. 1 teaspoon salt
  5. 1 stick butter
  6. 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
  7. 2 eggs
  8. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  9. 8 marshmallows, halved crosswise
  10. 1/4 cup peanut butter
  11. 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and coat a 9X9 baking pan with pam. Pulse 1 cup pretzel pieces in a food processor until finely ground (you should have around a 1/2 cup crumbs). Add to a medium bowl with the flour, baking powder, and salt. Melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat. Allow to cool and add to a separate large bowl along with the brown sugar, eggs, vanilla. Add the pretzel crumb mixture to the butter mixture. Spread the batter into the pan, and smooth with a spatula. Scatter the remaining 1/2 cup pretzel pieces on top. Bake until golden and a pretzel inserted into the center comes out clean, 25-30 minutes. Preheat the broiler. Press the marshmallow halves cut side down in even rows on top of the bars. Broil, rotating until golden brown, 2 minutes. Melt the peanut butter and chocolate chips in separate small bowls in the microwave for 30 seconds each. Using a fork, drizzle both over the bars. Let harden at room temperature before cutting, 10 minutes.
