Ingredients
  1. 5 cups cubed day old bread
  2. 3/4 stick butter
  3. 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  4. 1/2 cup sugar
  5. 3/4 cup canned pumpkin
  6. 2 eggs + 1 yolk
  7. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  8. 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  9. 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and melt butter in a 8 X 8 baking dish. Once melted, take out of oven and toss bread cubes with butter. In a separate bowl, wisk together remaining ingredients and pour into baking dish, stirring to make sure all pieces are coated. Bake until custard is set, around 30 minutes.
