Ingredients
  1. 3 pork chops
  2. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  3. 1 tablespoon butter
  4. 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  5. Juice of 1/2 lemon
  6. 1/4 cup apple cider
  7. 1/4 cup maple syrup
  8. 1 apple, peeled and chopped
  9. 1 pear, peeled and chopped
  10. 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides and dredge in flour. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil, butter, and red pepper flakes. When the butter is melted, place chops in pan and cook until browned, 4 minutes a side. Transfer to a plate. Add apple cider and lemon juice to the pan and cook until the liquid is reduced by half, 2 minutes. Add the shallot, apple, pear, garlic, maple syrup, herbs, salt and pepper and cook until fruit is soft, 7 minutes. Return the chops to the pan and cook for another minute until warmed through. Serve on a plate with extra sauce spooned on top.
